Quality European puzzles at Simple Pastimes

Since the beginning of this year, Simple Pastimes has more than doubled its stock of fine quality jigsaw puzzles from Europe, adding 3 new lines in the process.

Simple Pastimes was one of the first US jigsaw puzzle retailers to carry Poland's Castorland puzzles. With the arrival of a large shipment in March we can now boast the entire 2006 Castorland catalog. As always this fine line of puzzles includes a wonderful assortment of landscapes, historic castles, animals and fine art. Make sure you check out the brilliant fantasy puzzles featuring the artwork of Polish surrealist Jacek Yerka.

From Austria's Piatnik we have several new puzzles featuring the work of great artists like Vermeer, Monet, and Brueghel.

Ravensburger and FX Schmid have rightfully made Germany the world's number one producer of quality jigsaw puzzles. Among new items from Ravensburger are classic movie posters of Rebel Without a Cause and Casablanca. Simple Pastimes has doubled the number of FX Schmid's popular 300 piece Large Format Editions, including the colorful Wings of Spring and the detailed Gardeners' Delight.

Simple Pastimes' hottest selling new line is Educa from Spain. Among their many fine art puzzles you will find classics like Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, Raphael's Cherubs and a 5000 piece, 5 foot long puzzle called Van Gogh's World. Each Educa puzzle includes an easel to hold the box top while you assemble the puzzle and "Fix Puzzle" special glue to hang your finished puzzle.

From Holland comes another new line called Jumbo. Not only does Jumbo produce the very popular cartoon puzzles of Jan van Haasteren and the fantasy masterpieces of James Christensen but they also manufacture the very popular PortaPuzzle jigsaw puzzle assembly and storage totes now available in 500, 1000, and 1500 piece sizes.

The Falcon brand (formerly of Great Britain, but now produced by Jumbo in The Netherlands) continues to delight jigsaw puzzle fans with its nostalgic images of mid-20th Century England. Car buffs will get a kick out of the delightful Minis and train aficionados will appreciate the nostalgic appeal of Truro to Windsor.
