Schloss (castle) Linderhof is a castle in Germany, near Oberammergau in southwest Bavaria. It is the smallest of the three castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, also known as "Mad King Ludwig." Construction began in 1874 and finished in 1878. It is the only one of Ludwig's three castles that was completed, and is also the only one in which he lived for any significant period of time. -Wikipedia
