Hand cut by a Puzzle Craftsman in Burgundy, France
The villas of Pompeii were often decorated with large paintings. This fresco was part of three wall paintings in a living room in the Villa of the Golden Bracelet in Pompeii and dates to the first century BC. The paintings were designed to open the room to the outside by creating the illusion of a larger garden area with an bright blue sky, beautiful blooming flowers, and the continual presence of birds.
Please Note: This puzzle is cut by hand, so each puzzle piece is unique and challenging. The cuts shown in the last image are just an example of the type of shapes used. The puzzle piece shapes are customized based on the image details; the water fountain, the birds, etc. adding an extra dimension of difficulty. This is a totally different puzzling experience. Completing a hand cut puzzle is more like a two-player strategy game between you and the puzzle craftsman.
