Of all the artists pursuing the Art Deco style, one of the most memorable was Tamara De Lempicka. With French origins, Deco was part of an exotic, sexy, and glamorous Paris.

 

Polish Art Deco painter Tamara de Lempicka (1898 –1980) was one of only a few female pioneers of what is known today as "glamour art". One of the largest collections of her work is owned by the Pop singer Madonna whose on-stage and music video costumes have often been influenced by de Lempicka's paintings.
